Monday, July 12th, 2010I’m incredibly honored and humbled to be featured in the 2nd Year Anniversary Special Issue of WOW Mag. It’s an online art & design magazine that featured some of my work about a year ago go. They contacted me and all the other guest artists again for this issue. It’s really humbling to be featured side by side with really talented people from around the globe. If you don’t know about WOW Mag; now you know. Check it out.

Friday, May 7th, 2010My Vallejo shirts came Monday afternoon. Pretty excited to get them. Represent Vallejo; the little city by the bay with lots of potential to be great. This is home for me and many others.
The shirts are on sale for $15 each. I have sizes from xs – xL. Contact me via facebook or phone (if you have my #) and email ( lew@unlikeyou.com) if you would like to order one.
gearin’ up
Monday, April 5th, 2010I’m not even going to front. I’ve been slackin’, but that’s changing. I’m getting ready to get some things into production. I have a list of things I aspire to do. I should be busy till summer, and then busy during the summer with new projects.
The list is as follows:
- Vallejo type tshirts
- hang tags
- business cards
- prints ( one new illustration done )
- update website look
- audio for my process video
- draw everyday + figure drawing class every other monday
vallejo = home
Saturday, March 6th, 2010If you live here in Vallejo then you know that things are gradually getting worse. The city is bankrupt. There’s a rise in crime, dropout rates, foreclosures and unemployment. With all that aside this is home. I’ve been here my whole life. I’d like to get out but I’d also like to stay. I’m tired of this city but I also love this city.
Vallejo is my home.
Kia motors
Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010Kia has upped their game lately. They got the right advertising company to promote their 2011 Sorento. I’m not a big fan of SUVs but they made theirs look really fun. The characters are all popular children’s toys or tv show characters.
I noticed the Redford Sock Monkey, and Muno the cyclops first. Among the other characters are: a teddy bear, a robot, & a hairy thing. The site gives bios on each character and it’s interesting to see how they came about.
Anyhow, they succeeded in making the car look fun. To elicit a feeling for an object is good advertising. Bravo. If anyone knows what studio is responsible for the new ads, please let me know. Thanks
